I would like my real brother and myself to meet our 1/2 brother who lives in the UK
Well I am almost 37 now but when I was about 14 my real brother and I found out mum had been pregnant at a young age before she married our dad, had the baby but then her mum made her adopt him out. Which was quite normal in those days. My mum was re united with him about 12 years ago but my brother and I have never met him. Unfortunately when mum died in 2003 I was the one who had to phone him and tell him the sad news, it was really hard telling him even though he was family but not really knowing who he is! We swapped emails for a while but then I lost his email address so we haven't been in touch for a few years. I really miss my mum even 5 years on and knowing how much he is like her, my brother and myself makes me really want to meet him, but neither my brother or myself could really afford the travel costs. Thank you for considering my wish, I hope you can help us.
for some help in paying for my son's orthodontic work.
My son has a mouth full of happy teeth that are having a party. He needs two years of treatment to bring those party goers into line and we all know how expensive that is!
I wish for WishCollector to be successful
The site is a great idea and deserves to do well!
Baby, Child and New Mum Products
In 2005 after numerous pregnancy losses I decided to get off my butt and form a website devoted to ladies trying for a baby, or those with children already.
We try and help with heaps of different things including petrol vouchers, shopping vouchers etc and anything else that we can help with.
When a couple have a baby we try and send out congratulation packs as well as try and give couples a night out or some treat etc when they go through a loss. But it all comes at a cost and we're trying to set up ways of bringing in our own income to help members. We're getting there slowly but like with all thing, it takes time.
People don't realise the heartache that can come with the territory of trying for a baby and unless they've been through it, no one understands the pain of losing a much wanted baby.
Well the ladies on C.O.L do know the pain...which is why we try to help and support others through it
To Win an iPhone 3G from you :)
Hi My name is Anthony. I will begin by saying that you have an awesome website here and I really think its a great good deed to grant wishes to people in difficult position so well done! I'm 15 and have a passion for technology and Apple products, especially the iPhone. When I heard the IiPhone 3G would come to New Zealand I became obsessed and read about it everywhere and what the price would be etc. When Vodafone said $199 on a 2 year contract I was very excited because this could finally be affordable for me. However I was deeply shocked and disappointed when the pricing plans came out as I wasn't in the position to buy one even though it was my dream. I also couldn't even come to the launch night as it is the Jewish Sabbath and I am religious. So If there is a chance I could win this amazing device I would like to say THANK YOU! for this great opportunity and wish you the best for your website.
All The best,
Anthony
I wish I had a bunch of petrol vouchers
Petrol is really expensive now so alot of days now I have to get up 45mins earlier to walk to school.
I wish for my chemo and radiotherapy to go without any hiches or delays.
I just want to get back to my normal life and see my girls grow up happy and healthy.
I wish I had a 22" lcd...
My old crt monitor for my computer is 15" and it makes funny noises and goes fuzzy when showing the colour white very annoying.
I wish for a 3g Iphone.
My cellphone has started to falter. It gives a wrong number message when I try to create and send a message to my friends using the contacts list. Also I commute by car, bus and ferry then walk to work. It is fairly boring business, especially in the winter and I would love to listen to music while I travel. I bought an mp3 on trademe that was a rip off, then couldn't get a refund as I damaged the earphone. I have wanted an mp3 for soooo long.
I wish for ... an iPhone!
As an NZ sign language interpreter in the provinces, I have no one fixed workplace. Travelling between jobs, often between towns (occasionally of up to two hours one way) eats up a lot of time. It can be a trial keeping up-to-speed with the administrative tasks, and staying in touch with clients, let alone finding my way to new places! An iPhone would bring all my 'tools' (sms/voice or video-calling, email, invoicing, calendars, contacts, maps etc) into the one device, and make me truly mobile.
an iphone, - and some one-on-one training from a kind, patient person to set it up for me.
This is my wish:
I haven't been out of New Zealand for forty years, nor on a plane for seven. So it was a big thing to decide to do a personal 'rite of passage' for my 60th birthday this year. Late August I am flying from a small rural NZ city, to the Bahamas to live on a small boat for 5 days with 11 friends (that I have yet to meet), swim with the beautiful Atlantic spotted dolphins each day, then return across America via train for two days.
This is very BIG for me and scary too. It is also costing far more than I thought. I don't own a camera or mobile, yet to keep safe and in touch with my family, I need a cellphone at least.
I absolutely love the Apple iphone - it speaks my language and I know I could learn to use it with coaching. The camera could capture all the memorable moments and people, and I always google if I got lost.
An iphone would become my personal companion, organizer and "security blanket" while on the move, and it would also help to launch me into the last, and hopefully best, third of my life.
It would be so neat to have one.
A holiday away for my mum
My mum is a single mother of 4, she trys real hard to look after us and teach us all the right values and to achieve our goals, she has just been through a real rough time with my 13 year old sister, she works 12 to 13 hour days just to scrape up enough money to pay her bills, and while she is working all day and night to pay for our roof over our head my dad is out having a great old time with no care in the world, I would like tos how her how appreciated she is and give something back to her and although I could never ever afford anything remotely nice or near what she deserves this is my only hope for her to get what she really deserves and for once have someone pamper her. All help and kindness appreciated
Dishwasher for an Auckland community theatre group
We are desperately after a dishwasher for our kitchen, Most of our funds go towards putting on productions and the upkeep of our venue. We do not recieve any government or council sponsorship and so our income relies on our members and any profits from our shows. We will happily provide a few tickets to our next production if we are so lucky to get our wish granted :-)
to see my mother again... its been eight years...
when i immigrated to NZ with my dad and step-mum eight years ago, my mom stayed over in South Africa. in the last eight years ive only been able to go over and see her once!
in the last 3 years or so her health has been deteriorating steadily to the extent that at one stage i was getting ready to say my last good-byes. luckily her health is slowly but surely getting better, and her only wish is to have the chance to come and see her only son in NZ while her health holds - the country she has heard such amazing things about.
we were planning a trip last year (2007), but another health scare combined with SA's rediculous pension policy and the fact that ive been a student for the last 5 years (and am still currently studying) has meant that the money was just not there.
our wish therefore is for a aeroplane ticket (or even contribution toward a ticket) for her to come to NZ in November this year. a trip to NZ will generate so much hope in her life - honestly, whom ever is kind enough to sponsor us will be adding years to her life.
peace.
A Nintendo Wii
I'm not much of a computer games kind of person but I'd love to have a Wii - no predictable jokes, please!;)
I've played it before and I think it's a really cool way to have some fun and spend a good time with your friends while, at the same time, you're actually getting some exercise. So, if you think about it, it would be good for my health. I suppose that's a good reason to want something. :)
Thanks!
A green GM cricket bat
I did very well in the interschool cricket tournament and I need a new bat Because my other bat snapped.
To get a new wardrobe of clothing.
I have lost 15kg in the last 12 weeks and still going, but now have a wardrobe full of clothes that are to big. My husband is studying full time so we don't have the money for me to go out and buy a complete new wardrobe at the moment. Even the couple of things I have brought recently are now too big.

An overseas holiday for my parents
My mum and dad have underpinned the success of my siblings and I. They have worked tirelessly and without complaint to ensure that we had the best. The both suffer from poor health and yet they never complain. They were always there for us gave us all we needed, often putting aside their own desires. This included holidays for themselves. I know my parents would love an overseas trip before they are too old to enjoy it. Please grant this wish.
Eliptical/Cross trainer
I am looking for an eliptical/ cross trainer so that I can keep active. I have multiple Sclerosis, which is a progressive chronic illness where there is no cure. I parent my two daughters and need to keep my body together while I continue to support them. Attending a gym is not an option as I have mobility issues as well as trying to keep a level of normality in my childrens lives.
Laptop computer and dragon speak software.
I have multiple Sclerosis which make typing difficult. More so as the condition progresses. I would like the laptop and software so that I can continue at University studying Psychology of learning and health. With the purpose of helping others come to terms with chronic illness.
I wish for a small LCD TV with teletext
I want an LCD TV with teletext so I can get captions. I'm Deaf and sometimes it's hard to follow whats going on in the news and current events programmes. I have a small LCD TV but teletext doesn't work. I would be happy to swap with someone. I just want to be able to read the captions to help my understanding. I like comedy but it's not so funny when you can't hear all the words. I only want a small Tv, not a big one.
I wish for a red GM cricket bat.
Because I really deserve it and don't have one at home only a plastic one.
I wish to be able to do full time training in Pole Vault in the hope to make it to the Olympic Games
I believe that if I was able to do fulltime athletics training then I would be able to make it to the 2012 Olympic Games competing for NZ in Pole Vault. Unfortunately I have to pay the bills and only have time for one fulltime activity, which sadly has to be work.
